AWARDS & REVIEWS
The Real Review - Huon Hooke - 93 points
"Deep red-purple colour, the bouquet is reserved and plummy, black fruits, char oak and ironstone. It's full-bodied but fleshy-soft and supple textured. Sweet blackberry pastille flavours in the core, streaks of star anise and cola, the tannins assertive and mouth-coating but smooth. The finish lasts and lasts. A fine example of a full-bodied shiraz. Drink 2025–2037."
The Wine Pilot - Jeni Port - 92 points
"Hails from the Geographe region and sandy soils so expect a medium bodied Shiraz, quite linear and finely textured. Brings an energy to the glass, flowing easily as it works its charm. There’s definitely a sense of place, too, with scents of briar, acacia, earth, bramble, sage and black fruits. It’s at one with its locale, its terroir, of the Aussie bush, bay leaf and acacia against a background rich in black fruit intensity and spice. Tannins are fine and well structured, oak melds well in its supporting role. I am thinking more immediate drinking pleasure than cellaring. This delightful Geographe Shiraz is ready to impress now."
The Wine Pilot - Cassandra Charlick - 92 points
"Fruit leads towards the jammy and ripe spectrum, but it lifts up off the runway just in time with pretty florals and a mineral-laden jubilance. The palate is easy-drinking and mid-bodied with a refreshing crunch factor. Red berries, morello cherry juice, Ribena and aniseed, all cloaked in sweet spiced and vanilla-laced toasted oak. Some nice chocolatey notes on the finish. Paired with bundled spice, jubey fruit and some nice brambly notes. A slurpable and well-placed Shiraz. Yummo. Drink now to 2028."
Halliday Wine Companion - Mike Bennie
"A mellow, medium-weight, supple and spicy offering here. Dark cherry, blackcurrant pastille, choc-mint, cinnamon, anise and cardamon suggestions through the perfume and flavour spectrum. Cinches up nicely with fine, dusty tannins, a splash of dark chocolate drinking powder offering a sweet piquancy. A good shiraz here, with depth, character and extension of flavour."
"Spicy and peppery shiraz with a bright and juicy palate. It shows notes of dark berries and hints of chocolate. Medium- to full-bodied with firm tannins. Succulent finish. Drink now."
